To mark its 20th anniversary celebrations, Red Bull Racing (currently competing as Oracle Red Bull Racing) has unveiled the RB17 track-only hypercar. The Red Bull RB17 made its debut on Friday July 12th at the Goodwood Festival of Speed (FOS), one of the most renowned automotive events in the world.

Designed by the visionary Adrian Newey and built on 20 years of Formula One innovation, the launch of the two-seat F1-inspired RB17 marks Oracle Red Bull Racing’s audacious leap into the future of hypercars.

The mid-engine hypercar uses an electrically assisted 4.5-liter naturally aspirated V-10 engine, which puts out over 1,200 horsepower, allowing a top speed of more than 217 mph (350 kph).

“Imagine a two-seat marvel crafted from carbon fibre, powered by a roaring V10 engine, and capable of reaching speeds that blur the line between exhilaration and disbelief.”

Just 50 RB17s will be built. The Red Bull RB17 will be on display at the Festival of Speed for the duration of the weekend to give fans an exclusive first chance to admire the F1-inspired hypercar.

“For it to finally be the day we pull the covers off and see the birth of the RB17, is truly remarkable,” Adrian Newey adds in a statement.

“The RB17 Hypercar embraces everything we stand for : undeniable power, speed and beauty. It is very adaptable in its abilities, and we made sure to design it as a two seater so that the thrill of driving at F1 speeds can be enjoyed with a friend or partner.”
