2023 Honda HR-V Teaser Ahead Of Its Unveiling Next Month
Honda teased the Honda HR-V subcompact crossover for the US market after releasing designs earlier this year.
The HR-V will have a separate design compared to the Europe-spec HR-V, based on the picture of the taillight.
The Honda HR-V 2023 will be unveiled on April 4th.
The HR-V 2023 was first shown in a pair of stylized sketches earlier this year, but the new teaser shows what appears to be a production-ready body.

Honda declined to comment on the changes between the Euro-spec and US-market HR-Vs, but the image displays a unique taillight design.
Instead of the European HR-stylish V’s full-width taillights, the US model appears to have crisp, split components with an LED emphasis evocative of the current BMW 4-series’ lightning signature on the taillights.
In comparison to the European HR-V, the bodywork appears to be more contoured.
While the HR-V is only available in hybrid form in Europe, pure internal-combustion variants are expected in the United States.
The engine range will most likely be similar to the Civic’s, which provides a 158-hp normally aspirated 2.0-liter or a 180-hp turbo 1.5-liter inline-four, but a hybrid is also a strong possibility.
Last year, the HR-V was Honda’s third-best-selling SUV, with little over 137,000 units sold, trailing only the CR-V (which sold over 360,000 units in 2021) and the Pilot. While Honda prepares the HR-V for the US market, its European subsidiary recently revealed plans for three new electric SUVs, including a hybrid or plug-in hybrid version of the next-generation CR-V.
The upcoming CR-V is likely to offer a pure petrol powertrain option, similar to the HR-V.
