As motorists, there are some driving habits that we sometimes display that can be considered insensitive or a lack of civility toward pedestrians.
Some motorists do it to intimidate pedestrians. Some do it out of spite. There are also those that do it out of genuine ignorance. However, some displays by motorists can really get pedestrian really furious.

Horn unnecessarily
It gets annoying when motorists blare their horns needlessly. Sometimes, it appears as though they do it to intimidate pedestrians. No wonder, in some countries, laws have been made against it to protect pedestrians.
Not checking surroundings when opening the door
This is one of popular peeves of the pedestrian. Some motorists are in the habit of opening the doors of their cars suddenly, without first checking to see if it will hit someone coming from behind.
Not stopping at pedestrian crossings
Everybody understands that at the zebra crossing, a car is supposed to stop to allow pedestrians to cross the road. However, this is not always the case. Some drivers act like bullies by not stopping for pedestrians to cross at the designated crossing point.

Splashing water at pedestrians
Please, motorists, do not add to pedestrian’s misery by splashing water on them with your car. It is miserable enough when one is walking in the rain or in a wet environment.

This is another popular annoying habit that some motorists exhibit. This is when motorists find nowhere better to park their cars, but right on the pedestrian walkways or on a path designated for pedestrians.

One popular driving habit that annoys pedestrians is when motorists point their car’s headlight at them, especially at night. Flashing headlights can have several meanings from communicating to another vehicle, announcing their presence in the dark, etc. However, a motorist can briefly dip the full beam lights when it appears to be in the direct line of sight of a pedestrian.
Not signalling when turning
Indicators are not only meant for your fellow motorist. Use them when you are about to turn. And another thing: turn on your indicators early. Do not turn them on only when you are already halfway through your turn!

Some drivers are not good at targeting were to stop at pedestrian crossings. They drive and stop right inside the pedestrians crossing. In the process, they block the way on the marked surface for pedestrians to walk on.

Revving your car in a menacing manner for a long period can earn the irk of pedestrians. Sometimes, one gets a sense that some motorists do it to just to get attention.
