Reno Omokri Reacts As Toyota Snubs Nigeria, Opens $7m Assembly Plant In Ghana

Former media aide to ex-President Goodluck, Reno Omokri reacts as Toyota snubs Nigeria, opens $7m Assembly Plant in Ghana.
The Toyota assembly unit is the second auto assembly plant in the country in less than a year.
It follows the launch by Volkswagen of a 5,000 unit per year capacity assembly facility in August 2020.
President of Ghana Nana Akuffo-Addo on Tuesday commissioned a Toyota assembly plant, a $7 million investment with annual production capacity of around 1,330 units.
The assembly unit, the second auto assembly plant in the country in less than a year, follows the launch by Volkswagen of a 5,000 unit per year capacity assembly facility in August 2020.
At the launch, Akuffo-Addo said the new assembly plant will help reduce imports of secondhand vehicles and boost export earnings.
He added that Ghana aims to boost its auto sector and attract automakers with generous fiscal incentives to assemble and produce cars in the country.
According to report, the plant was established to assembly Toyota Hilux pick-up and other sedans by the Toyota Tsusho Manufacturing Company Limited.
Reacting to the development via his Instagram account on Wednesday, a former media aide to ex-President Goodluck, Reno Omokri said:
“Toyota snubbed Nigeria for Ghana
“Twitter snubbed Nigeria for Ghana
“Google AI Twitter snubbed Nigeria for Ghana
“Suzuki snubbed Nigeria for Ghana
“And that is why one GH₵1 is equal to ₦70. Even Buhari snubbed Nigeria for The UK when it came to healthcare.
“The world will continue to snub a government that arrests freedoms, for a government that arrests poverty.”
