Mercedes-Benz Electrifies The All-new 2027 GLA With All-New Hybrid And EV Lineup

Mercedes-Benz has elevated the GLA with a lower silhouette, a longer wheelbase (+61 mm compared to its predecessor), and an illuminated Grille—giving the luxury crossover SUV a significantly sportier and unmistakably commanding presence.

Billed as an “electric-first” vehicle, the new third-generation 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLA introduces three fully electric variants and an upcoming efficient four-cylinder hybrid. The former replaces the EQA and goes up to 657 kilometers (408 miles) per charge.

Three electric models will be available at market launch in November. The 221-hp GLA 200 electric, the 268-hp GLA 250+ electric, and a dual-motor all-wheel-drive range-topper—the 349-hp GLA 350 4MATIC electric, which sprints from zero to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds.

Thanks to 800-volt technology, up to 270 kilometers (168 miles) can be added in just ten minutes when the 268-hp GLA 250+ electric is plugged into a DC fast charging station (with up to 320 kW).

Slated for release at the start of 2027, the high-tech, electrified hybrid variant of the GLA combines 48-volt technology with a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, allowing it to run solely on electric power.

Inside, all variants feature a completely redesigned cabin with a panoramic sunroof and a large MBUX Superscreen. This advanced setup integrates a 10.25-inch instrument cluster, a 14-inch central display, and a 14-inch screen for the front passenger.

Additionally, the electric GLA will be offered in AMG and AMG Line Plus trims with sportier styling elements. The AMG Line Plus adds a high-gloss black spoiler lip, exclusive 20-inch light-alloy wheels, and a high-gloss black vehicle key.

Prices for the 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLA start at €48,599.60 for the entry-level GLA 200 Electric. The GLA 250+ Electric is priced at €54,978, while the GLA 350 4MATIC Electric costs €58,107.70—all prices including VAT.
