Mazda Explained Why It Continues To Offer Classic Petrol Cars

Mazda does not want to archive gasoline engines. Although the Japanese brand has introduced a number of hybrid models in recent years, the manufacturer also insists on more conventional internal combustion engines.

According to Moritz Oswald, head of product planning for Mazda in Europe, internal combustion engines are still very important in the big markets.

– Part of our strategy is to offer the right engine to the right customer, said Moritz Oswald in an interview for Car Magazine.

– We will not abolish the internal combustion engine overnight – emphasizes the director, refusing to follow the one-sided direction of competition towards electric cars.

The next big technological breakthrough will be the new 2.5-liter four-cylinder Skyactiv-Z gasoline engine, which already meets Euro 7 standards.
