Officials of Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) on Monday 20/03/2023 assisted a female car owner to replace her punctured tyre at Adeniji Adele junction by 3rd Mainland bridge inward Lagos Island.
Sharing the pictures taken at the scene on its social media pages, LASTMA noted that its duty is not limited to controlling traffic but also includes rendering assistance to stranded motorists to ensure smooth ride for other road users.
“LASTMA not only controls traffic but also render assistance to motorists who have minor problems with their vehicles on the road to ensure smooth ride for other road users.”
The Lagos State-owned agency under the Ministry of Transportation was established on the 15th of July, 2000 to transform the state transportation system to ensure free flow of traffic in the state and also reduce road accidents.
LASTMA says its mission is “to promote a state-wide culture of traffic regulation, control, and management, as well as to ensure smooth traffic flow on Lagos roads”, adding that its vision is “to reduce deaths and economic losses caused by road traffic accidents and delays on Lagos State’s public highways”.
