Photo : Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) highlights the dangers of overloading a vehicle.
When flagged down, overloading attracts a fine of Ten Thousand Naira only (₦10,000.00).
Exceeding a vehicle’s payload capacity through overloading will not only damage the suspension but also makes the vehicle less stable and more difficult to steer.
While sharing a picture of a flagged down overloaded vehicle on its official Facebook, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) highlighted some of the dangers of overloading the vehicles to include :
• Road Surface Damage
• Vehicle Stability
• Effect on Tyres
• Increased Braking Distance
• Damage of Suspension
• Loss of Acceleration
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) is a government agency founded in 1988. Its statutory functions includes making the highways safe for motorists and other road users. Overloading attracts a fine of Ten Thousand Naira only (₦10,000.00).
