Audi Will Start To Implement Huawei’s Smart Driving System In China
According to multiple sources close to a local Chinese media outlet, Audi will start implementing Huawei’s advanced driving system for its cars to boost appeal in the local market. Recent trends show foreign automakers losing positions in the country, which is Audi’s biggest market.
Audi to start using Huawei’s smart driving system in China
Huawei’s driving system will debut on Audi’s 2026 ICE models in the country and this will be the last generation of ICE vehicles before the German automaker transitions to NEV (New Energy Vehicles) in China.
The Audi A5 will be the first with Huawei’s ADAS (Advanced Driving Assistance System), but it’s perhaps safe to assume that all future Audi EVs after it will come equipped with Huawei’s tech as well.
A separate report adds that Audi has also signed CATL as a battery supplier to stay competitive in China. The company is taking its EV transition seriously, and with NEVs already overtaking ICE cars in the country, it’s not hard to see why.
