Popular Lagos-based luxury car dealership, Polanco Exotic Cars, has welcomed the “first-ever Ferrari Purosangue in Nigeria” into its massive showroom located at Lekki Phase 1 area of the state.

A video shared shows the moments Ferrari’s four-seater, four-door Crossover SUV rolled out of the containerized car-carrier used to ship it into the country.

With a starting price of over $600k, the Purosangue, pronounced as poo-row-sann-gway, is the world’s most expensive SUV – though Ferrari prefers to call it FUV (Ferrari Utility Vehicle) instead of SUV.

Despite the high price (over N1.5 billon to own in Nigeria), the Purosangue has been met with great demand, proving to be an instant success for the Italian automaker.

Purosangue uses a naturally-aspirated 6.5-liter V-12 engine that churns out the power of 715 horses and 716Nm (528 pound-feet) of torque.

The powertrain allows Ferrari’s first-ever SUV to go from standstill to 62 mph in just 3.3 seconds and on to a top speed of 193 mph (310 km/h) – a number that trails Lamborghini Urus SE’s 312 km/h (194 mph).
