The Most Valued Automaker Is Toyota

In 2025, Toyota, a Japanese company, is projected to be the world’s most valuable automotive brand. According to British consulting firm Brand Finance, their list of the 500 most valuable global brands is topped by Apple, Microsoft, Google, Amazon, and Walmart. Nevertheless, Toyota’s brand value rose by 23 percent from the prior year, placing it 18th overall and making it the leading automotive brand.
Toyota’s brand is valued at $64.7 billion, which is $11.7 billion more than Mercedes-Benz, which was the most valuable automotive brand last year. Hyundai is the third most valuable brand among automotive companies, followed by Tesla and BMW.
Toyota was third in 2024 behind Mercedes-Benz and Tesla.
The list, for all brands, considers revenue and share prices but includes factors such as licensing agreements, revenue forecasts, brand perception, sustainability, and consumers’ emotional connection to the brand, which is collected through surveys.
In short, it is also a measurement of the perceived value of a brand, not just how much money the company has.
