Lamborghini Raises The Prospect Of A New Sterrato

There is a chance that the Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato will get a successor, and this was hinted at by the company’s boss himself.
In an interview with Australia’s CarExpert, Stefan Winkelmann admitted that this model is “one of the things I’ve always wanted to do, more than a decade ago.”
The CEO added that “it was very exciting and very successful, so let’s see… It’s not in the plans today, but never say never.”
This is hardly an official confirmation that the company is planning an all-new Sterrato, but it does leave the door open for such a model, which would naturally be a follow-up to the Huracan Sterrato. The Huracan has been retired and replaced by the all-new Temerario, a plug-in hybrid supercar with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine.
Compared to the regular Huracan, the Huracan Sterrato was 44 millimeters higher off the ground; it had additional lights at the front, widened fenders, roof racks, a new rear diffuser, and other elements that clearly distinguished it from the standard variants.
It also had a special driving mode called “Rally,” and only 1,499 units were produced.
A hypothetical Sterrato version of the Temerario would follow a similar recipe, but it remains to be seen whether Lamborghini will recreate something similar.
