Ultimate Move: Quick-Thinking Chinese Motorist Hoists ₦760M Bentley With Crane To Escape Flooding
Ultimate Move: A quick-thinking Chinese motorist hoists N760 million Bentley with Crane to escape flooding in Shenyang .
According to reports, the extreme downpour turned the city into a graveyard of ruined vehicles after the waters finally receded.
Move celebrated as a fleet of tow trucks had to be deployed to haul away hundreds of flood-damaged vehicles from the area.

Last month, a quick-thinking Chinese motorist rushed to save his prized Bentley Continental GT from floodwaters after a massive typhoon hit Shenyang. The historic storm dumped nearly 20 inches of rain, overflowing major rivers and quickly swallowing the surrounding streets under meters of water.
After sensing imminent danger, the Bentley owner hired a commercial crane to hoist his $460,000 (roughly ₦760 Million) luxury Grand Tourer several meters into the air, suspending it safely above the rising deluge.

In trending videos, the relatively new Bentley sedan was seen suspended in the air by a large crane using multiple ropes, while the surrounding area showed several completely submerged vehicles.
While critics on social media called it an absurd display of wealth, some netizens commented that this was indeed a good idea, as renting a 25-to-50-ton mobile crane for 24 to 48 hours generally costs between $1,000 and $3,500 internationally.

Compared to the catastrophic after-effects of a flooded exotic car, the crane hire was an absolute bargain. The financial damage would have been staggering—running past $70,000—had the muddy floodwaters swallowed the Bentley’s advanced electronics and twin-turbo engine.
According to local reports, the extreme downpour turned the city into a graveyard of ruined vehicles after the waters finally receded. While the Bentley owner was able to lower his car back down completely dry and ready to drive, a massive fleet of tow trucks had to be deployed to haul away hundreds of flood-damaged vehicles from the area.
