The discontinuation of the trio of subsidiaries, which will affect more than 500 employees, follows the planned sale of its stakes in Bugatti Rimac and the Rimac Group as part of its strategic realignment.
Around 60 employees in Germany and 30 in Croatia will be affected by the closure of Pforzheim-based Cetitec GmbH, which develops specialized software for data communication for Porsche and the entire Volkswagen Group.
Porsche said around 50 employees are affected by the discontinuation of Cellforce Group, which specializes in high-performance battery cells, while the closure of operations at the Ottobrunn and Zagreb sites will affect around 350 employees of Porsche eBike Performance.
Before this measure – spearheaded by Porsche CEO, Michael Leiters, Porsche eBike Performance develops electric drive systems for two-wheelers. These includes motors, batteries and the necessary software architecture for connectivity solutions.
