Toyota Recall Over Half A Million Camry Sedans
Toyota has recalled over half a million Camry sedans with 7-inch displays due to software glitches that can cause screens to go blank, disabling critical warnings and signals. Affected owners will receive notifications by early October 2026 for a free dealer software update.
The affected Camry sedans are model years 2025–2026 with 7-inch displays, due to software glitches that can cause the screen to go blank, disabling turn signals and safety warnings. The issue affects LE, SE, and Nightshade trims, which will receive a free software update via dealer notification by October 2026.
Toyota will notify affected Camry owners by October 2026 for a free software update to fix blank driver displays. Owners can check their VIN on the NHTSA website once listed. If the display fails, be aware that turn signals and safety warnings may be disabled.
The Japanese carmaker has previously faced display-related recalls, including 82,000 units in May and 591,000 last year across various models. As digital dashboards become standard, automakers increasingly struggle with software glitches, creating new reliability concerns and potential legal risks for the industry.
