Bentley’s all-new Continental GT Speeds gets a comprehensive exterior and interior redesign inspired by the coachbuilt Bacalar and Batur while the hood houses the all-new Ultra Performance Hybrid powertrain with 782 PS and 1,000 Nm.
On the exterior, the Coupe and Convertible features a new headlamp with horizontal ‘eyebrow,’ a deep crystal cut diamond effect to the top of the lamps. Redesigned features at the rear include the bumper, taillights, boot lid and exhaust tail pipes.
Inside, the new Continental GT retains the rotating 3-sided display featuring a 12.3” high-definition display, three analogue dials, and an handcrafted veneer – each of which can selected at the touch of a button.
Three audio systems is offered in the Continental GT, including the Bang & Olufsen – a 16-speaker system with illuminated speaker grilles, and the Naim for Bentley system, which represents the ultimate in automotive sound quality.
The Continental GT uses Bentley’s all-new 4.0-litre V8, which works in tandem with a 190 PS electric motor, allowing it to reach 60 mph in 3.1 seconds (3.2 in Continental GTC Speed) and a top speed of 208 mph (177 mph in Continental GTC Speed) – top-speed rated at 87 mph (140 km/h) at full electric mode.
The Continental GT Speed is equipped with a new 400-volt electrical architecture and 25.9 kWh battery pack, which allows 50 miles (81 km) of usable electric-only range and a total range of 534 miles (859 km).
With 11 kW peak charging power, Bentley claims that the 25.9 kWh battery-pack – mounted behind the rear axle – can be fully charged in two hours 45 minutes.
