Bentley Motors has given us the first glimpse of the upcoming fourth-generation Continental GT ahead of its arrival in June as the first Bentley car to use the new Ultra Performance Hybrid powertrain.
The latest-gen Grand Tourer will arrive with the brand’s new plug-in hybrid V8 that develops an astonishing 771 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque, combined with 50 miles (80 km) of electric-only range.

Bentley’s new Ultra Performance Hybrid powertrain replaces both the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine from the Continental GT, Continental GTC and Flying Spur model lines and the flagship W12 engine offered in the Flying Spur and GT Speed derivatives.
Originally unveiled in 2002, the Continental GT started the rebirth of Bentley, helping the brand’s annual sales to climb from approximately 1000 cars to over 10,000 within four years of its introduction.
The second generation of the Continental GT was launched with the W12 engine in 2010, which was followed by a new 4.0 litre V8 option in 2012, while the third generation arrived in 2018 with a new engine, new suspension and new electrical architecture.
One in every three Bentleys sold around is a Continental GT. Globally, the Continental GT is the British luxury marque’s second most popular model, behind the flagship Bentayga ultra-luxury SUV.
