Bauchi Lawmaker Empowers Constituency With Cars, Tricycles, Motorcycles, Other Items

Bauchi lawmaker Senator Haliru Dauda Jika empowers his Constituency with tools and cash, including 55 cars and 83 tricycles.

Other items given out includes 96 motorcycles, 50 generators, 130 sewing machines, 40 water pumps and millions of Naira.

Senator representing Bauchi central in the 9th National Assembly, Haliru Dauda Jika, has given out several “Empowerment Tools” worth millions of naira to both youths and women in his constituency.

Empowerment tools distributed at the event includes 55 cars, 96 motorcycles, 83 tricycles (Keke Napep), 50 power generating sets, 130 sewing machines and 40 water pumps.

In addition, a cheque of N10,000 was also presented to each of the beneficiaries as a giveaway.

The 44 year-old lawmaker also presented N3 million cash donation to 300 women in the six LGAs in the district to enable them engage in businesses of their choice.

Haliru Dauda Jika urged the beneficiaries to judiciously make use of the “Empowerment Tools” and cash given to them.

Haliru said the reason for the empowerment program was to reduce the rate of unemployment among the youths.

He added that the project will also encourage the spirit of self reliance among women in the area.
