Between January and September 2023, the BMW Group sales climbed to 1,836,563 units (+5.1%).
German automobile giant, the BMW Group, has announced it delivered a total of 621,699 BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce vehicles to customers in the third quarter, which represents a year-on-year growth of +5.8%.
Between January and September, the BMW Group sales climbed to 1,836,563 units (+5.1%), thanks to its attractive line-up of vehicles across its brand as well strong demand for its fully-electric vehicles.
BMW
The BMW brand was able to deliver 549,941 vehicles to customers worldwide in the third quarter, which is an increase of +6.2% compared to the same period of the previous year.
In the third quarter, BEV deliveries doubled to 83,211 units (+100.3%) while 217,138 fully-electric BMW vehicles have been delivered to customers between January and September.
MINI
In the third quarter, the MINI brand delivered 70,384 (+2.6%) vehicles to customers worldwide, thanks to demands for latest MINI limited editions – the MINI John Cooper Works 1to6 Edition and the MINI Clubman Final Edition as well as the sales of 10,720 fully-electric MINI Cooper SE and MINI Cooper SE Convertibles.
Rolls-Royce
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars sold 1,374 vehicles in the third quarter (-9,0%), following the discontinuation of the Dawn and Wraith. The British luxury marque has sold 4,555 vehicles (-3.1%) since the start of the year, though it said interest in the fully-electric super coupé remains exceptionally high and order books are already full until 2025.
BMW & MINI sales by regions/markets
In the third quarter, the BMW Group sold 210,331 BMW and MINI vehicles in China (-1.8%) while 91,849 BMW and MINI vehicles were delivered in the US between July and September of this year (+7.8%).
In Europe, sales of BMW and MINI vehicles totalled 221,496 units for the third quarter (+12.9%) while 70,901 BMW and MINI vehicles were registered during this period in home country, Germany.
