Breaking: Buhari Extends Flight Ban By One Month

President Mohammadu Buhari has extended the ban imposed on a local and international flight by four weeks.
This was revealed today by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation and Chairman of the Presidential Taskforce on Covid-19, Boss Mustapha.
According to Mustapha, during its daily briefing today, the Federal Government decided to extend the flight ban by four weeks after due consultation with relevant stakeholders.
”Tomorrow marks the last day for enforcement of the closure of the Nigeria airspace to flight. We have assessed the situation in the aviation industry and have come to the conclusion that given the facts available to us and based on the advice of experts, the ban on the flights will be extended for an additional four weeks”, he said.
As the government continues to curb the spread of the COVID-19, the SGF urged Nigerians to adhere to the guidelines of the Nigeria Center for Disease Control(NCDC).
On March 18, the Federal Government of Nigeria has issued a travel ban on 13 countries worldwide. This was due to the spread of the coronavirus globally.
