Buyers Are Not Interested In Electric Lotus Vehicles
Lotus CEO Feng Qingfeng says the decision to make Lotus an all-electric brand was a mistake. Customers don’t care.
– A smooth driving experience in an electric car is good in everyday life, but those who buy high-performance cars don’t consider those things. They want a wild experience. Excitement and fun. ‘They just want to have fun,’ says Feng Qingfeng.
Now the idea is to take the V8 engine developed by Geely and Renault in the joint venture Horse Powertrains. This engine is expected to develop more than 1000 hp. Also, the Lotus Emira will get a V6 engine from the same source. By the way, the owner of Lotus is Geely.
