Canada Commends Nigeria Customs For The Recovery Of 65 Stolen Vehicles Worth Millions Of Dollars

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) International Special Services has commended the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) for its commitment to safeguarding borders and disrupting transnational organised crime.
In a statement on Monday May 26th, the NCS said that the commendation was formally made during an official ceremony held on Wednesday May 21st 2025 at the Canadian High Commission in Abuja.
This recognition follows the recent recovery of 12 luxury vehicles by the RCMP Liaison Office in Lagos, adding to the 53 vehicles earlier recovered and bringing the total number of stolen Canadian vehicles intercepted in Nigeria to 65.

IGP Commissions 50 Operational Vehicles Designed To Effectively Address Modern Security Threats

The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, on Tuesday May 27th 2025, commissioned fifty (50) state-of-the-art operational vehicles for the Explosive Ordnance Disposal – Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (EOD-CBRN) Unit of the Nigeria Police Force.
Designed and equipped to effectively address modern security threats, the commissioning of these customised vehicles underscores the IGP’s commitment to prioritising the safety and security of the nation.
Speaking at the commissioning, the IGP highlighted the bravery and dedication of the EOD-CBRN operatives, stating that :
“This commissioning marks a further step in the holistic reform agenda to reposition the NPF as a modern, technologically-driven institution capable of effectively addressing the evolving security landscape.”
Dangote Cement Rewards Top-performing Distributors With 28 Brand New CNG-powered Trucks

Twenty Eight (28) brand new eco-friendly CNG-powered trucks were presented to highest-performing distributors at the 2025 edition of Dangote Cement’s Customers Awards & Gala Nite held on Tuesday May 27th 2025 in Lagos.
On Thursday, two days after event, Dangote Cement shared a video on its social media handles, showing the arrival of dozens of CNG-powered trucks aboard a car carrier, noting the 28 of these trucks have been presented to top dealers at the event held Eko Hotel & Suites.
