Customs Showcases 108 Seized Vehicles, Including Armored Land Cruiser Worth ₦250M, 28 Buffalo Trucks Worth ₦1.5bn - autojosh

Customs showcases 108 seized vehicles, Including 61 Toyota Hilux’s, an armored Land Cruiser 300 worth ₦250+ million.

Coordinator of the anti-smuggling Unit, Okpabi, notes that 38 of the seized vehicles have been forfeited to the FG.

Seizures includes 61 brand new Toyota Hilux pickup trucks which he said will generate over ₦400 Million naira into the FG purse.

Also confiscated are 28 Land Cruiser Buffalo trucks which Okpabi said has a street value of ₦1.5 Billion.





Vowed to frustrate the activities of the smugglers whom he said are trying to bring down the economy of the country.

The Nigerian Customs Service Rapid Response Squad Headquarters (HQ), whose activities covers the North Central, North East and West part of the Nigeria, has showcased over One Hundred and Eight (108) vehicles that were seized while being smuggled into the country.

Speaking with newsmen at the Karu warehouse of NCS in Abuja, the Coordinator of Rapid Response Squad, Assistant Comptroller Jack Okpabi, stated that 38 of the seized vehicles have since been forfeited to the Federal Government of Nigeria.





Paraded in a short clip posted on the Nigerian Customs Service Facebook and Twitter pages is an armored Toyota Land Cruiser 300 SUV worth over ₦250 million as well as Twenty-eight (28) Land Cruiser Buffalo trucks which Okpabi said has a street value of ₦1.5 Billion.

Also confiscated are sixty-one (61) units of brand new Toyota Hilux pickup trucks which Jack Okpabi said will generate over ₦400 Million naira into the Federal Government purse.

While vowing to continue to frustrate the activities of the smugglers whom he said are trying to bring down the economy of the country, the Coordinator urge the public to continue to collaborate with the unit in its fight against smuggling of goods into the country.
