Dangote Sinotruck Aims To Produce 10,000 Trucks Annually

Dangote Sinotruck, a JV between Dangote Industries and Sinotruck of China, says it can produce 10,000 trucks per year.
Company has installed capacity to assemble and produce 16 –18 trucks per day or about 10,000 trucks annually.
Says it can produce wide range of commercial vehicles, including heavy-duty trucks, medium trucks, light trucks, and semi-trailers.
The company aims to meet the expected increased demand of segments like logistics, constructions, food and beverage industries.
Dangote Sinotruck West Africa Limited, a joint venture between Dangote Industries Limited and Sinotruck of China, says its plant can produce about 10,000 trucks per year.
Mr. Dolapo Alli, Regional Sales Director, Lagos/Ogun, Dangote Cement Plc, said this during the 13th Gateway International Trade Fair in Abeokuta, adding that the company has created thousands of jobs both direct and indirect.
“The company aims to meet the expected increased demand of segments like logistics, constructions, food and beverage industries as the government focuses on boosting the economic development across the country,” Alli said.
“It has the capacity to produce 10,000 trucks annually and is creating thousands of jobs both direct and indirect,” he added.
Dangote Sinotruk West Africa LTD is a Joint Venture with a total investment of $100 million, with Dangote Industries Limited owning 65 percent of the equity while Sinotruck of China owns 35 percent.
The company was established to produce wide range of commercial vehicles, including heavy-duty trucks, medium trucks, light trucks, and other semi-trailers.
Dangote Sinotruck has installed capacity to assemble and produce 16 –18 trucks per day or 10,000 trucks annually and will create over 3000 different jobs across Nigeria.
