The project is being anchored by the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, Lagos State. “We are very impressed with the level of work done so far. Even though, this visit is at the early stage of the project, the contractors are still acquiring right of way and embarked on necessary demolition of those buildings that encroached into the right of way, it is not an easy task but the benefit is worth the effort expended”, he (Engr Ibeh) said. It is a good project initiated at the right time. The demolition of buildings that have encroached into the right of way along St Finbarr’s Road and other sections of the project is necessary for the project to come to fruition. Upon completion, it will be beneficial to the residents of the area and Lagosians in general.”
Talking further, at the Deeper Life Bible Church area, it was observed that the contractor there has commenced excavating. They are also turning in the Piccard drains. Road Rehabilitation
On the other hand, there is an existing bridge that has to maintain its width of 6. This would be in place. However, the width of the road would be extended to 14.6m. This means 7.3 in both sides of the road.
