Epic Parade Of 122 Hearses By Funeral Homes From All Over Africa Sets New Guinness Record
An epic parade of 122 hearses by several funeral homes from all over Africa sets a new Guinness World Record.
Event was organized by South Africa’s Funerex Africa, a “trade expo and motoring experience for funeral professionals”.
The parade, which took place on 17 March 2022, in South Africa, gathered 122 vehicles on a track measuring 4.522km.
Vehicles paraded by the funeral industries includes classic, gothic-looking black hearses to modern white cars.
Although South Africa’s Funerex Africa, was aiming for 137 hearses, only 122 vehicles was qualified to lined up at the start.
An epic parade of 122 hearses organized by South Africa’s Funerex Africa, a “trade expo and motoring experience for funeral professionals”, has set a new Guinness World Record for the largest parade of Hearses.
The parade, which took place on 17 March 2022, at the Kyalami Grand Prix Track, South Africa, gathered 122 vehicles from several funeral homes on a track measuring 4.522km. The event was a cheerful occasion to bring together workers in the funeral industry from all over Africa, according to Guinness World Record.
Although Funerex was aiming for 137 hearses, only 123 vehicles was qualified to lined up at the start. But it was only 122 that crossed the finish line after one of them encountered technical problems during the attempt and was deducted from the count.
The 122 vehicles paraded by the participating funeral industries includes classic, gothic-looking black hearses to modern white cars. Participants also received prizes at the end of the parade, such as hearse decks and graveside set-ups.
