FCT Security : FG Approves N2.6bn For Procurement Of 60 Ford Ranger Trucks, Gadgets
FG approves N2.6 billion for the procurement of 60 utility vehicles, gadgets and accessories to help enhance security at FCT.
FCT minister explained that two contracts were approved totalling N2,682, 248,378.52K (N2.6 billion naira)
First contract awarded to Coscharis Motors at the cost N1.8b billion for the supply of 60 Ford Rangers + 3-yr of post-sales service.
Second contract awarded to E&S Technology Ltd. at the cost of N847.1 million for various security gadgets and accessories.
The Ford Ranger utility vehicles, security gadgets and accessories are expected to be delivered within two months.
The Federal Executive Council has approved the sum of N2.7 billion for the purchase of operational vehicles and equipment to help support security agencies in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Speaking after the FEC meeting on Wednesday, FCT Minister, Malam Muhammad Bello, disclosed that the approved amount will be used to purchase 60 utility vehicles with communication gadgets and delivered within two months.

The first contract was awarded to Messrs Coscharis Motors Ltd at the cost N1.8 billion for the supply of 60 units of Ford Ranger pickup trucks with security communication accessories and three years of post-sales service.
The second contract was awarded to Messrs E&S Technology Ltd. at the cost of N847.1 million for the purchase of various security gadgets and accessories to support the security agencies.
The minister appealed to FCT residents to support Administration and the security agencies in the fight against crime and criminality. He also enjoined residents to be security conscious and to provide useful information to relevant authorities anytime the need arose.
