A Ferrari engine intended to be used in an Enzo supercar is up for sale at auction and the estimated price is more than what you pay to buy some flagship supercars from other car brands. The 6.0-litre V12 is considered by many to be one of the finest engines ever made.
It is up auction with RM Sotheby’s in Miami, coming with an estimated price of $300,000, which is more than the base price of a brand new Lamborghini Urus which starts at $230,000 and nearly as much as a Ferrari Purosangue, which starts at $379,658.

The advert suggests that the buyer could choose to put the engine on display or could choose to use it to power a car as intended.
When used in a car, the engine produced 651-horsepower at 7,800rpm, helping the supercar get from 0-62 mph in 3.1 seconds and on to a top speed of 217mph.
The advert reads:
“Complete engine with inlets, airbox, ancillaries and engine loom.
“If mounted for display, the engine could be used as a fantastic centerpiece in any collection.
“An otherwise unobtainable piece of Ferrari history; a rare opportunity to acquire a new old stock replacement unit from one of the marque’s flagship models.”
