Flagship and more powerful M-badged BMW M760e xDrive and the i7 M70 Electric variant will officially arrive in 2023.

They will join the current 7-Series lineup, including the electric i7 and 760i xDrive, set to reach the dealership in the spring of 2022.

The M-badged i7 M70 xDrive Electric Sedan will be the most powerful in the 7-Series lineup when it finally arrives in the market.

BMW on Wednesday debuted the all-new seventh-generation 7-Series lineup, including the electric i7 xDrive60 and gasoline-powered 740i and 760i xDrive, that are set to reach the dealership in the spring of 2022.

During the reveal, BMW also announced that two new M-badged range-toppers in the form of the M760e xDrive and i7 M70 xDrive electric variant will join the 7-Series lineup in the spring of 2023.

The M760e xDrive’s plug-in hybrid combines 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-6 with a single electric motor for a combined output of 563 hp and 591 lb-ft of torque.

It can hit 62 mph (97 km/h) in 4.3 seconds and 155 mph (250 km/h) in hybrid mode. In electric mode, it will do the same in 87 mph (140 km/h) and cover 50-52 miles (80-84 km) between charges.

The 750e xDrive also runs on downrated version of the M760e xDrive’s powertrain rated at 483 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. But it will drive 52-57 mile (80-89 km) on electric mode and reaches 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.9 second.

But the M-badged i7 M70 xDrive Electric Sedan will be the most powerful in the 7-Series lineup when it finally arrives in the market. This M Sport model will have “well over 600 horsepower and maximum torque of over 737 pound-feet,” according to BMW, and will complete the 0-62 mph sprint in “under 4.0 seconds.”

BMW is still mute about the i7 M70’s battery size, but the i7 xDrive60’s battery-pack has a usable capacity of 101.7 kWh, which allows it to cover as much as 388 miles (625 kilometers) on full charge.
