Former Mercedes Petronas driver, Nico Rosberg, has finally picked up the keys to his £2.5 million Mercedes-AMG One, nearly six years after first customizing his F1-engined hypercar back in 2018.

“A Hypercar with my F1 Engine! Picking up my AMG One and seeing my custom design after years in the making felt super special! How do you like it?,” said the former F1 driver, famous for winning the 2016 F1 World Championship.

Nico joins a list of former and current F1 drivers who purchased the F1-engine-powered ONE, including Valtteri Viktor Bottas, who took delivery of his car last year and Lewis Hamilton, who bought two – one for himself and the other for his dad, Anthony.

First revealed by Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show as AMG Project One, each of the planned, sold-out 275 hypercars commands a price tag of approximately £2.5 million.

Powered by hybridised 1.6-litre V6 adapted from Mercedes-AMG’s championship-winning 2017 F1 car, Mercedes claimed the 1000bhp-plus four-wheel-drive model has a 218mph top speed and 0-124mph in 6.0 seconds.

Inside, it has two racing-style seats, F1-style steering wheel, two free-standing 10-inch displays for the digital instrument cluster and infotainment touchscreen and a digital rearview mirror showing real-time footage from the Mirror Cam.

Mercedes-AMG One boasts six (6) different drive mods, including Race Safe, Race, EV (all-electric driving), Race Plus (race track only), Strat 2 (race track only), and Individual.
