Garage Of Nigeria’s Second Senate President, Prince Akwaeke Abyssinia Nwafor Orizu
Prince Akwaeke Abyssinia Nwafor Orizu is Nigeria’s Second Senate President.
During his days as a politician, Nwafor boasts of one of the best luxury cars in his garage.
These cars can be likened rides from todays brands like Bentley and Mercedes-Benz.

Prince Akwaeke Abyssinia Nwafor Orizu was Nigeria’s second Senate President from November 1960 to January 1966, during the Nigerian First Republic.
Orizu was also first Acting President of Nigeria from late 1965 until the military coup of January 1966.

Nwafor is a member of the Nnewi Royal family. His nephew Igwe Kenneth Onyeneke Orizu III is the current Igwe (King) of Nnewi Kingdom.
During his days as a politician, Nwafor boasts of one of the best luxury cars in his garage. These cars can be likened to expensive rides from todays brands like Bentley and Mercedes-Benz.
The remains of some of these luxury cars can be found inside his garage in his home town.

After the coup, Orizu faded from the political scene but remained active in education.
Prince Akwaeke Abyssinia Nwafor Orizu died in 1999 at the age of 85.
Nwafor Orizu College of Education in Nsugbe, Anambra State, is named after him.
