China’s automaker Geely teases electric RADAR pickup truck that will reportedly debut later this month.

RADAR is a new pickup brand under Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, China’s largest private automaker. 

RADAR reportedly stands for Rational, Alone, Discovery, Accompany, and Romantic.

Technical specifications isn’t available yet, but the new electric pickup will reportedly be about the same size as a Toyota Hilux.





The truck will hit the Chinese market this year, and possibly Nigeria market, where the brand already has lineups of vehicles.

China’s largest private automaker, Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, commonly known as Geely, has released the first pictures of the upcoming RADAR electric pickup truck.

The RADAR, a new EV pickup truck brand under Geely, which reportedly stands for Rational, Alone, Discovery, Accompany, and Romantic, along with the truck will be officially launched next month.

Technical specifications isn’t available yet, local media reports that Ash Sutcliffe, Geely’s external PR manager, said that the new electric pickup truck will be about the same size as a Toyota Hilux.





That means it will be around 5.30 meters (208.7 inches) long and a wheelbase of about 3.10 m (122 inches) as well as a bed long enough to carry bikes.

Also, sources in China reveal that the pickup truck will based on a new ladder-frame chassis developed specifically for electric commercial vehicles.

Geely captioned the teaser with “More coming soon! Stay tuned”, ahead of the expected introduction later this month. The truck will hit the Chinese market this year, and possibly Nigeria market, where the brand already has lineups of vehicles.
