Genesis Unveils Magma GT Concept – Its First Pure Sportscar Design

Genesis unveils Magma GT Concept – its first pure sportscar design, and announced the Magma sub-brand.
Race-ready Magma GT Concept features an elongated sloping roofline, a low-set front bonnet, a wide rear fenders.
Inside, Magma GT Concep gets a boat-tail cabin that maximize stance and emphasize a “low and wide” posture.
Hyundai’s luxury brand, Genesis, has unveiled the Magma GT Concept and announced Magma sub-brand that will churn out high-performance vehicles to rival those from Lexus’ F, BMW’s M and Mercedes-Benz’s AMG.
Revealed for the first time on Thursday at the Genesis Magma World Premiere in France, the South Korean brand said that the Magma GT Concept defines the direction of the its performance heritage for the next 10 years.
The race-ready Magma GT Concept features an elongated sloping roofline, a low-set front bonnet, a wide rear fenders and a boat-tail cabin that maximize stance and emphasize a “low and wide” posture.

“The Magma GT Concept represents the pinnacle of our performance vision and stands as a symbol of our commitment to true motorsport capability,” said Luc Donckerwolke, President and Chief Creative Officer of Genesis.
“This is a car that feels instinctively connected to its driver, composed under pressure, and meticulously tuned so that every component serves a single purpose: to make performance effortless.”
“The Magma GT doesn’t ask the driver to prove their skill; it enhances it. This is not simply a faster Genesis. It is the most complete expression of Genesis performance to date.”
The Magma GT Concept is the first pure sportscar typology from Genesis. While Genesis is still mute on the powertrain, it did revealed that the “Magma GT Concept stands as a key milestone in Genesis’ transition toward Luxury High Performance”.
