All-new Peugeot Polygon Concept features Hypersquare Steering Wheel that will arrive in production Vehicle in 2027.

Polygon Concept, a sub-4 metres long 3-door hatchback, previews the overall design language of future Peugeots.

The futuristic Polygon Concept boasts two McLaren F1-style XXL butterfly doors that improves cabin accessibility.

French automaker, Peugeot, has debuted the all-new Polygon Concept, a sub-4 metres long three-door hatchback that previews the overall design language of future Peugeots.

Named for its revolutionary Hypersquare Steering Control wheel, the Polygon Concept boasts two McLaren F1-style XXL butterfly doors instead of four conventional doors.

According to Peugeot, the two XXL butterfly doors improves cabin accessibility and simplifies the design and manufacturing of each component, reducing the number of parts.

The Polygon Concept rides on Goodyear tyres equipped with advanced SightLine intelligent tyre technology – which delivers real-time insights to the interior i-Cockpit reflective display about tyres and the road to drivers.

Inside, it has racing-style chairs, whose foam can be swapped in minutes for a new colour. It also has customisable dashboard elements that can be easily replaced to suit changing tastes and needs.

But the highlight is the Hypersquare steering wheel control paired with Steer-by-Wire electronic steering technology, which allows quick, easy manoeuvres, unlike traditional wheel. This technology will be available on a production Peugeot vehicle from 2027, according to the brand.

“Peugeot Polygon Concept is a true dynamic proving ground, testing and showcasing numerous innovations that Peugeot will introduce from 2027 onwards – especially the revolutionary Hypersquare steering control and Steer-by-Wire technology,” Peugeot said in a statement.

Following the reveal, Peugeot allowed some select journalists, including AutoCar, to drive a 2008 prototype equipped with the revolutionary steer-by-wire steering system and a Hypersquare steering wheel.
