The all-new Genesis X Skorpio Concept designed to conquer demanding terrain including deserts has debuted as brand’s first extreme off-road vehicle. Purpose-built to conquer harsh terrain, the black scorpion-inspired Concept combines cutting-edge performance with luxurious design.
At unveiling, Genesis demonstrated real-world driving performance of the X Skorpio Concept in the Rub’ al Khali “Empty Quarter” desert in the United Arab Emirates.

“The X Skorpio concept is an extreme off-road vehicle designed to be driven across the toughest and harshest terrain,” said Luc Donckerwolke, Chief Creative Officer of Genesis, adding the “X Skorpio Concept explores yet another facet of the Genesis brand and highlights our intent to inject emotion and adrenaline into different segments.”

The exterior design of the X Skorpio Concept, including the vehicle’s tension-filled curves and the segmented armor-like panels, are inspired by black scorpion’s arching tail and exoskeleton respectively.
Additionally, the exterior of the X Skorpio is constructed using an innovative combination of fiberglass, carbon fiber and Kevlar.

Other highlight on the exterior of the debut model includes the deep black base finish infused with a vibrant blue tint while Genesis’ signature Two-Line design is expertly integrated into the front and rear lamps of the X Skorpio Concept.
