Audi unveils F1 Car Concept and livery ahead of its 2026 debut, targets championship title by 2030.

Kick Sauber will transform into the Audi F1 team next year after acquiring the Switzerland-based F1 team.

Audi dominated in other motorsports, including two World Rally Championships, two World Endurance Championships.

Audi on Thursday November 12th 2025 unveiled its Formula 1 livery color and R26 design concept, just 115 days before the German brand officially enters into the pinnacle of motorsport in March 2026.

While Cadillac will join Formula 1 grid as 11th team in 2026, Kick Sauber will transform into the Audi F1 factory team next year after the German brand took over from existing Switzerland-based F1 team.

Audi’s F1 livery color combines Lava Red paint with titanium silver and gloss black carbon fiber while its F1 car will feature a gas-fed 1.6-liter V-6 and an electric motor-generator.

At the “Audi One” reveal event in Munich, Audi CEO Gernot Döllner said the brand is aiming to challenge for the 2030 F1 world title : “We are not entering Formula 1 just to be there…We want to win,” he said.

“Our entry into Formula 1 is part of something bigger. It’s the next step in the company’s renewal, designed to strengthen our competitiveness on the global stage,” he added.

Audi aims to be a F1 powerhouse in the nearest future, after dominating in other motorsports, with two World Rally Championships, two World Endurance Championships and Le Mans victories along the way.

In addition, Audi, as Auto Union, won 25 Grands Prix back in the 1930s : “Audi has never entered just to compete, but instead with the aim of leading, innovating and being victorious. That’s exactly what we are striving for in Formula 1.”
