Gov. Seyi Makinde Presents 7 Toyota Prado SUVs To Oyo High Court Judges - autojosh

Governor Seyi Makinde presents 7 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado SUVs to Oyo High Court Judges.

He said that the gesture was in fulfillment of a promise ahead of their appointment.

The Governor added that the official vehicles would make the work of the judges easier.

Makinde noted that “the vehicles are brand new and not manufactured in Nigeria”. 





Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, on Thursday May 19th presented seven (7) brand new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado luxury SUVs to judges in the State High Court.

During the handing over ceremony held at the premises of the Oyo State High Court, Ring Road, Ibadan, the Governor said that the vehicles would make the work of the judges easier.

Seyi Makinde, who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mrs Olubamiwo Adeosun, said :

“The state government gave some vehicles to some judges in 2021 and is also planning to provide more for Magistrates.

“The vehicles are brand new and not manufactured in Nigeria.

“Work is in progress to tar the state high court premises and meet the other needs of the judiciary,” he said.





Speaking at the event, the Chief Judge of Oyo State, Justice Muntar Abimbola, appreciated Governor Seyi Makinde for his love and affection for the Judiciary.

He said :

‘’We are here as you can see for the commissioning of seven brand new vehicles.

“My honorable Judges of this court, some vehicles have been handed over to some of us and some vehicles are still coming for others.

“So, from the depth of our hearts, we appreciate our Executive Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde for his love and affection…

“We thank you very sincerely and we still hope that our other yearnings and screaming will be attended to”

Also speaking at the ceremony, the Commissioner for Justice, Oyewo Oyelowo commended the Judiciary of Oyo State for their patience and collaboration with the Executive and the Legislature.

He said :

“We thank all the members of the Judiciary, the Justices, and even the non-judicial officers for keeping the independence of the Judiciary in this particular state.

“This day marks the fulfillment of the promise by the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde, in ensuring the delivery of these seven vehicles to the justices of Oyo State.”
