Hyundai IONIQ 6 all-electric sedan sweeps World Car of the Year, World Electric Vehicle and World Car Design of the Year. 

World Car Awards honored Hyundai IONIQ 6 EV with three awards at New York International Auto Show.

IONIQ 6 is the second straight Hyundai IONIQ model to sweep World Car Awards, following IONIQ 5’s triple wins in 2022

IONIQ 6 can charge 10 to 80 percent in just 18 minutes and offers a WLTP-rated range of 614 km from its 77kWh battery pack.





The Hyundai IONIQ 6 all-electric sedan has won the overall 2023 World Car of the Year title, the 2023 World Electric Vehicle as well as the 2023 World Car Design of the Year awards.

Lauded by an international jury for its unique aerodynamic design and outstanding all-electric range, the triple win for IONIQ 6 were announced by World Car Awards live at the New York International Auto Show.

A jury of 100 automotive journalists from 32 countries chose IONIQ 6 from the top three finalists, including the BMW X1/iX1 and the Kia Niro, all launched in 2022. 2023 marks the 18th year of the World Car Awards’ partnership with the New York International Auto Show.

This is Hyundai Motor’s second straight triple honors at the World Car Awards, following IONIQ 5’s triple wins in the same categories in 2022

IONIQ 6 is the second model in Hyundai’s dedicated all-electric lineup brand, IONIQ. It can charge 10 to 80 percent in just 18 minutes and offers a WLTP-rated range of 614 kilometers from its 77-kWh battery pack.
