Hyundai presents 393 vehicles to Indonesia for G20 Summit Bali, including 44 Electrified Genesis G80 limousines.

The 44 Genesis Electrified G80 Special Edition Long-Wheelbase models will be used as VVIP vehicles during the summit.

The Electrified 370-hp limousine has a battery capacity that allows a maximum range of 520 km (323 miles) on single charge. 

87 Regular Genesis G80 SWB models and 262 Hyundai Ioniq 5 will be used by protocol, security and rescue teams.





Hyundai Motors Indonesia has officially handed 393 vehicles to the Indonesian government ahead of the upcoming 2022 G20 Bali summit scheduled to take place between 15 Nov — 16th Nov in Bali, Indonesia.

During the handing over ceremony on Tuesday 25th October, the company handed over 44 units of Long Wheel-base (LWB) G80, 87 units of electrified G80 (SWB) sedans and 262 units of all-electric Hyundai IONIQ 5 to the Indonesian government.

“The Genesis Electrified G80 Special Edition Long-Wheelbase will be used as a VVIP vehicle, while the Genesis Electrified G80 Regular Model Standard-Wheelbase and Hyundai IONIQ 5 will be used for other purposes such as vehicles for couples from delegation groups, protocol, security, and rescue teams.” according to the official release of Hyundai Indonesia.





Speaking at the ceremony, Pratikno, the Minister of State Secretary of Indonesia, Pratikno, thanked Hyundai for supporting the G20 Summit.

“Many thanks to Hyundai for supporting Indonesia on many occasions and for preparing for the G20 Summit in Bali,” said Pratikno in his remarks.

“For us, the presence of the Genesis Electrified G80 in the G20 can help us show that Indonesia is moving for clean energy, for moving, for a green economy, especially for developing an ecosystem for manufacturing electric vehicles,” added Pratikno.

According to Hyundai, the electrified Genesis G80 limousines, which has been extended by 217 millimeters in length, will be used to chauffeure Very Very Important Persons (VVIPs) during the G20 summit.

Rear seat passengers will also have access two large 9.2-inch monitor screens for entertainment and 18 Lexicon speakers powered by Quantum Logic surround tech during their trips. The 370-hp limousine has a battery capacity that allows a maximum range of 520 km (323 miles) on single charge.
