Hyundai Recalls Over 1 Million Cars In 2026 Alone

No one enjoys discovering their car has a recall, but it’s an essential step to keep our vehicles safe. So far this year, Hyundai has issued eight recalls affecting just over 1.1 million cars.
The Palisade, one of Hyundai’s best-selling vehicles, was the subject of the company’s largest recall in 2026. The company was forced to recall more than 568,000 SUVs from earlier generations in January due to side curtain airbags that might not deploy correctly.
Hyundai has also recalled the new Palisade for dangerous rear power seats that killed a child. The automaker went so far as to issue a stop-sale on the model while it developed a remedy for the issue.
Hyundai’s smallest recall involved just 27 electric vehicles. They had high-voltage batteries that may catch fire.
Below are the eight recalls Hyundai Motor has issued so far this year (as of April 14, 2026).
