‘Nigerian Government and Institutions Should Patronize Made-in-Nigeria Vehicles more’, Innoson Laments.
Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company‘s Chairman, Innocent Chukwuma, has appealed to the Federal and State Government institutions to step up their level of patronage of vehicles made by the indigenous company.
The plea was made on Monday during the visit of the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed to the IVM plant in Nnewi Anambara State.
The member of the Industrial Policy Competitive Advisory Council, also implored the South – Eastern governors to embrace the company and stop the procurement of foreign – made vehicles. IVM has manufactured about 11,000 vehicles for Nigeria and 25 African countries and employs over 7,000 Nigerians at the assembly plants in Nnewi and Enugu.
The minister left them with a promise that the government will create an enabling environment that will grow the patronage of their products.
