Kia Sold 274,437 vehicles in April 2025 driven by its best-selling SUVs, including the Sportage and Seltos.

Introduction of new models – such as the EV3 full-electric SUV, the EV4 full-electric sedan, and the Tasman pickup truck, boosted its sales.

Sales outside of Korea, excluding special purpose vehicles, reached 223,113 units – up 4.6 percent.





In Korean market, Kia sold 51,005 units, a 7.4% increase driven by the Sorento SUV and the Carnival MPV.

The EV3 full-electric SUV led Kia’s battery-electric model sales in its home market in April.

Last month, the Kia EV3 was named ‘2025 World Car of the Year’ at the 2025 World Car Awards (WCA).

Kia Corporation has announced total global sales of 274,437 units in April 2025 — which is a 5.0 percent increase year over year, driven by sales of sales of the company’s best-selling SUVs, including the Sportage and Seltos.

The South Korean carmaker said that the introduction of new models such as the EV3 full-electric SUV, the EV4 full-electric sedan and the Tasman pickup truck also helped to boost its sales last month.

With total global sales of 47,737 units, the Sportage was Kia’s selling model in April, followed by the Seltos with sales of 25,543 units and the Sorento SUV, which sold 23,855 units globally.





Sales outside of Korea, excluding special purpose vehicles, reached 223,113 units – up 4.6 percent compared with the same period in 2024. Here, the Sportage SUV led the brand’s sales with 41,034 units, followed by the Seltos SUV with 20,442 units.

In Korean market, Kia sold 51,005 units, a 7.4 percent increase compared with the same period last year. The Sorento SUV led the sales in its home market with 8,796 units, followed by the Carnival MPV with 7,592, while the Sportage SUV recorded sales of 6,703 units.

The EV3 full-electric SUV, which won the overall ‘2025 World Car of the Year’ title last month at the 2025 World Car Awards (WCA), led Kia’s battery-electric model sales in its home market in April.

Kia aims to sustain its sales momentum throughout the year, aided by newly launched models including the EV4 and Tasman pickup truck, priced from $42,990 for the base 2WD S model to $74,990 for the top-spec X-Pro 4×4 variant.

“The company will drive growth and reinforce its global electrification leadership through its customer-focused strategies and strategic investments,” the company said in a statement.
