Last Year, Dubai Police ‘Horse Unit’ Issued 463 Traffic Fines During 1,464 Patrol Rounds
Dubai police famous for its patrol fleets conducted 1,464 mounted patrols in 2024, issuing 463 traffic fines.
Police Department said mounted patrols conducted checks on individuals and vehicles and protected sports facilities.
Highlighted the vital role it plays in enhancing security, including its ability to navigate narrow areas inaccessible to regular vehicles.
Dubai Police noted that these units work in cooperation with other police patrols to cultivate a sense of reassurance among the public.
Dubai Police may be famous for its ‘tourist police luxury patrol fleet’ featuring some of the world’s most expensive cars on the planet but the Police Department still carry out mounted patrols in various areas, including commercial districts and tourist attractions.
In a release this week, the Police Department said 1,464 mounted patrols were carried out last year, a proactive initiative it said led to the issuance of 463 traffic fines and the securing of 38 matches.
Additionally, Dubai Police said that mounted patrols conducted checks on individuals and vehicles and protected and secured sports facilities.
“Over the past year, the Dubai Police, represented by the Mounted Police Station, have carried out 1,464 mounted patrols in various areas, including police jurisdictions, industrial zones, commercial districts, and tourist attractions.”
The Director of the Mounted Police Station, Major General Dr. Expert Mohammed Issa Al Adhab, highlighted the vital role mounted patrols plays in enhancing community security and safety, including its ability to navigate narrow areas inaccessible to regular vehicles.
Al Adhab noted that these units work in cooperation with other police patrols to cultivate a sense of reassurance among the public, forming an essential part of the overall security framework in the emirate of Dubai.
