Lucid’s Second EV The Gravity SUV Breaks Cover And Seats 7
Lucid Motors, a trailblazer in electric vehicle technology, has finally unveiled its second car, the 2025 Lucid Gravity SUV. The electric SUV promises over 708 km of EPA range and performance, setting a new benchmark in the segment.
The Gravity boasts a sleek silhouette, with the raked roofline merging into its tail spoiler. This design enables a drag coefficient of under 0.24, a great feat for an SUV. The Gravity seats up to 7 people and measures 1,656 mm in height, 1,999 mm in width, and 5,034 mm in length. The wheelbase measures 3,035 mm.
It is equipped with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive platform, similar to the Lucid Air models. The different versions weren’t detailed, but the top-spec was confirmed to output over 800 hp and do 0-97 km/h in less than 3.5s. The battery capacity is also unclear yet, but it will use a 900-volt architecture that lets you recharge 322 km of range in 15 minutes.
Gravity’s interior promises to comfortably accommodate adults in all three rows, with the rear doors opening at a full 90 degrees for easy access. The seven-seater variant offers a maximum cargo space of over 3,171 l, according to Lucid, which is most likely measured all the way to the ceiling. The five-seater provides around 3,398 l (up to the windows), thanks to the well-integrated folding seats.
The Gravity SUV also features a front trunk with a capacity of more than 227 l, complete with molded cupholders and a folding seat for two, demonstrating Lucid’s commitment to maximizing space and utility.
The Gravity SUV will offer an optional Zero Gravity air suspension with multiple height modes, enhancing its off-road capabilities without compromising drag or handling at higher speeds. The vehicle also features a five-link front suspension, similar to the Lucid Air, ensuring a stable and responsive driving experience.
Lucid has announced that the starting price for Gravity will be under $80,000, with the initial Dream Edition scheduled for delivery in late 2024.
