Mercedes Says More Than 900 Mercedes-Maybach Cars Were Sold Per Month In China In 2021 - autojosh

Mercedes-Benz says more than 900 Mercedes-Maybach ultra-luxury cars were sold per month in China in 2021.

Sales of luxury brand Mercedes-Maybach increased by more than 50 percent, according to Mercedes.

The Mercedes-Maybach lineup currently includes the impressive S-Class sedans and the GLS 600 large SUV.

Deliveries of S-Class model rose by 40% to 87,064 units, with sales in China accounting for 35.5% of global demand.





Mercedes-Benz Cars and Vans delivered almost 2.4 million vehicles between January and December 2021, a decrease of 5 percent compared to sales achieved a year before, as “a lack of semiconductors delayed the supply of vehicles despite strong demand for passenger cars and vans in all segments and across all regions”, Mercedes said in a statement.

Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600

Sales of luxury brand Mercedes-Maybach increased by more than 50 percent and according to the automaker, the sales were “boosted by China where Mercedes-Maybach cars are selling at a rate of more than 900 a month.”





According to Mercedes, the Mercedes-Maybach cars, which includes the impressive S-Class sedans and limos as well as the GLS 600 and 650 large SUVs, were sold at a rate of more than 900 cars per month in the World’s Biggest Auto Market, China.

The GLS-based SUV, which debuted in 2020, is the newest addition to the Maybach range and the first mass-produced SUV to wear the luxury badge. The latest generation of the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class sedan was also unveiled the same year as the pinnacle of the new luxury saloon range.

Both models features the Maybach-grille, Maybach logos and the Mercedes-Benz star on the hood, in addition to delivering an experience from first glance to full immersion in its lavish luxuries.

Mercedes also noted that the deliveries of the flagship S-Class model rose by 40 percent to 87,064 units, with sales in China accounting for 35.5 percent of global demand.
