Mercedes S-Class Set New Sales Record In 2021; 87,064 Flagship Sedans And Limos Were Delivered

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class ultra-luxury sedan set new sales record in 2021 with 87,064 delivered.
Deliveries of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class sedans and Limos rose by Forty percent (40%) to 87,064 units.
Sales of S-Class in China, the world’s largest automobile market, accounted for 35.5% of global demand.
The semiconductor (chips) shortage couldn’t stop the Mercedes-Benz S-Class from setting a new record sales in 2021 as 87,064 flagship sedans were delivered to customers from January to December last year.
The number of Mercedes-Benz S-Class delivered last year was nearly twice the units that was delivered to customers in 2020, according to the German automaker.

The automaker noted that sales of Mercedes-Benz S-Class in China, the world’s largest automobile market, accounted for 35.5% of global demand”
While announcing in a press statement on Friday that it delivered over 2.4 million vehicles to customers between January and December of 2021, Daimler’s Mercedes-Benz said :
“Deliveries of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class rose by 40% to 87,064 units, with sales in China accounting for 35.5% of global demand…”
The latest Mercedes-Benz S-Class was unveiled in September 2020 as the pinnacle of the new luxury saloon range. It packs several new ultra-luxury features, including a massive 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
In addition to the massive central infotainment display, which replaces 27 buttons found in the older model, the S-Class also comes with new 3D-effect 12.3-inch driver display.
The luxury cabin also comes with a Burmester high-end 4D sound system with 30 loudspeakers and ambient lighting. The lighting extends from the door panels and the dash to the floorboards.
2021 Mercedes-Benz S-Class
Mercedes flagship hands-free luxury cruiser comes with Level 3 self-driving features which can be activated with a push of a button on the steering wheel. It works at speeds of up to 37mph (60 km/h).
Recall that the new-generation 2021 Mercedes-Benz S-Class was voted the Luxury Car Of The Year 2021 at this year’s Nigeria Auto Journalists Association Awards held on Wednesday, December 1, 2021.
