MG Intends To Build A Facility In Spain
MG plans to build a European factory in Spain for the production of electric vehicles, writes Bloomberg. The move will allow the automaker to reduce its exposure to European Union tariffs.
Key details, including the size of the investment, production capacity, and timing, are still being determined and could change, according to sources familiar with the matter.
A decision on a factory in Spain would rule out Hungary, which was being considered as an alternative location. Hungary has attracted significant investment in electric vehicles and batteries in recent years, including the BYD factory.
