The latest sighting of an offending driver comes weeks after a white Rolls-Royce Phantom 7 was captured taking one-way lane in Lagos, though the driver of the ultra-luxury sedan narrowly escaped vehicle Impoundment.
The Lagos State Government has said driving against traffic will not only disrupt the free flow of traffic but also endangers the lives and property of other road users in the State.
Chairman of the Lagos State Environmental and Special Offenses Enforcement Unit, CSP Shola Jejeloye, said this while speaking during a public auction of impounded vehicles last year.
“From our records, 80% of hit-and-run victims on Lagos roads were knocked down by motorists who drove against traffic, especially in the early hours of the day”.
