Moment Tesla Cybertruck Exploded Outside Trump Hotel On New Year Day, Killing One And Injuring 7
Tesla Cybertruck exploded outside Trump Hotel on new year day, killing one and injuring many.
While investigation into the incident is ongoing, authorities believed it is an act of terrorism.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk wrote in a post on X that fireworks, gas tanks and camping fuel were used to blow up the Cybertruck.
A video shared captures the moment a rented Tesla Cybertruck exploded outside the front doors of the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas on Wednesday January 1st 2025, reportedly killing the driver and injuring seven.
While investigation into the incident is ongoing, Tesla CEO Elon Musk wrote in a post on X that fireworks, gas tanks and camping fuel were used to blow up the rented Tesla Cybertruck outside the Trump Hotel.
“We have now confirmed that the explosion was caused by very large fireworks and/or a bomb carried in the bed of the rented Cybertruck and is unrelated to the vehicle itself. All vehicle telemetry was positive at the time of the explosion.”
“Appears likely to be an act of terrorism. Both this Cybertruck and the F-150 suicide bomb in New Orleans were rented from Turo. Perhaps they are linked in some way,” Musk added, while referring to the earlier attack in New Orleans, where a suspect rammed a rented truck into a crowd.
Governor of Nevada, Joe Lombardo, also shared on X that his office is working to provide necessary resources to Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) on this incident response.
“My office is coordinating with @LVMPD and partner agencies on this incident response, and we will continue to ensure they have all necessary resources available.”
