NRC Suspends Operations Along Abuja-Kaduna Route, Following Terrorist Attack
The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) suspends operations along the Abuja-Kaduna route, following a terrorist attack.
Sources said that seven passengers were killed and many Injured during the attack.
Some passengers were reportedly whisked away by the terrorists using cars they had brought to the scene.
Monday’s attack saw the train with over 900 passengers as well as the railway smashed with explosives.
Reports also revealed that the terrorists riddled the train with bullets while trying to gain access into it.

The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has suspended operations along the Abuja-Kaduna route, following a terrorist attack on an Abuja-Kaduna bound train on Monday night.
A statement by NRC read :
“Dear passengers, due to unforeseen circumstances, Train operations along the Abuja-Kaduna route has been temporarily suspended. Further Communication would be given in due course,”
Monday’s attack saw the train with over 900 passengers as well as the railway smashed with explosives. Reports also revealed that the terrorists shot bullets at the train while trying to gain access into it.
Sources close to the Rigasa Train Station in Kaduna said that seven passengers were killed during the attack while many sustained injuries. Some passengers were reportedly whisked away by the terrorists using cars they had brought to the scene.
A passenger, who survived Monday’s terrorists attack, told journalists on phone that while in transit :
“We heard a loud bang. A bomb exploded.”
He recalled that “the earth shook and within the twinkle of an eye, it was gun shots everywhere.”
